Axelia Rose
Axelia Rose (b. 1996, Las Vegas, Nevada) is a multidisciplinary artist based in Southern Idaho, USA. Known for her vibrant color palettes and abstract compositions, Axelia’s work spans digital abstraction, physical painting, and ceramic arts, expressing a reverence for light, color, the art of the process itself, and the nuances of everyday surroundings. Her art reflects the ebbs and flows of the human experience, bridging moments of tranquility and energy.
“Life comes in cycles of pain and joy. I try to focus on the joy parts—and I find great joy in color,” she reflects.
Axelia's practice is influenced by her fascination with nature, dream states, and a search for internal strength and revelation. Her creative process revolves around the interplay of mixing and deconstructing colors, paired with spontaneous mark-making. These elements serve as focal points in her work, creating pieces that feel both deeply personal and universally resonant.
In 2024, Axelia completed a residency with DAM Zine, where she expanded her practice by integrating AI into her creative process. This exploration culminated in Inputs in Theta, a work that examines the cyclical nature of communication and ideas between humans and machines, exhibited at JRNY Gallery as part of the residency's group show. Her recent series, Room to Breathe and Emergence, continue this journey, blending tranquility with dynamic abstraction inspired by the rhythms of color and open space.
Axelia’s art has been featured internationally, including in Curators of Digital Art Exhibitions and The Subjective Art Festival, where her distinctive digital voice has captivated collectors worldwide. Her evolving portfolio—encompassing digital painting, glitch art, ceramics, and oil painting—underscores her commitment to innovation and connection, as she continues to push boundaries in her multidisciplinary approach to art.
